Priority areas
The Office of the GCIO and the ICT Council have confirmed a set of priority areas for developing investment proposals relating to potential cross-government ICT capability.
Each of the priority areas will be developed to the point where the investment potential and benefits can be determined. Selected business cases will be prepared with the funding from the new 2011/12 budget appropriation allocated to Vote Internal Affairs for developing investment proposals. Each business case will include expected benefits and corresponding realisation plans, implementation approaches and indicative cost.
As part of the process of engaging with government agencies other priority areas may surface. Changes to the list of priority areas will be brought to the ICT Council for endorsement and the ICT Strategy Group for approval.
