one.govt (Open Network Environment) is a secure IT network used by government agencies to collaborate and share information.one.govt service offering includes:

  • WAN services with a secure WAN option available
  • High speed internet services (up to 1Gbps)
  • Internet priced on bandwidth (per Mbps) with no volume limits or charges
  • An Email Protection service that takes all email items sent to and from the Agency, filters out the email that is identified as unclean and forwards on only “good” email items – no spam, viruses or malware are passed on
  • A Web Protection service that filters all outgoing web browsing traffic and the resulting incoming traffic to enable the Agency to enforce policy and control access to web sites and reduce the threat from viruses and malware
  • Core network configured for Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms and supports voice, video, high priority, low priority and best efforts
  • Multi-tenant WAN services available (collective bandwidth, diverse connectivity, shared customer located network equipment options) 24/7 service management
  • Unique Virtual Private Routed Network (VPRN) separates inter-agency traffic
  • No extra cost for inter-agency connectivity services

Pricing and service inclusion for one.govt is based on the type of services and capacity required. The type and amount of resources required from an agency will depend on the services requested and the complexity of its existing infrastructure.

A management fee which is apportioned across all agencies to cover:

  • Secretariat services

  • Risk management and legal support to agencies in the syndicate
